I am currently an associate editor at Atlas Obscura and a freelance writer who has contributed to The Atlantic, Motherboard, Popular Science, Refinery29, and the LadyBits collection on Medium. I was previously an associate editor at CityLab. My interests include animals and the environment, the Internet, cities, medical innovations, comics, and death.

In 2009, I graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Religious Studies which I followed a year and a half later with an MA in South Asian Studies from SOAS, University of London. My dissertation focused on the revolutionary constitutional basis for animal law in India.

(Also, that’s my dog, Zeke. He’s a dream.)
